The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of characters who will split off from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.
Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose death initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then paid off his obligations and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a hostile place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could assist the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
